As we have heard previously, Dwayne Johnson asked Warner Bros. that Henry Cavill return to the role of Superman for Black Adam. Apparently, this wasn’t an easy task for Johnson because according to him, the studio didn’t want to bring Cavill back as Superman! That’s crazy!
Either way, it took Johnson six years to bring Cavill back into the role of Superman, which included not only his return in Black Adam, but also a solo film. In a recent interview, Johnson talks about his journey to bring Cavill back as the Man of Steel, saying:
“I feel this serves not just Black Adam but the entire DC universe. More importantly, he takes care of the fans. And that’s what you want your guiding foot to be. So yeah, phone calls, meetings … But, Man, it took years man. Six years to do it. I say that again, for six years we kept talking about it and kept saying no. Now, that leadership is gone and we usher in a new era of the DC Universe. “
This just shows you how blind some studio executives are when it comes to making films. How do these people actually get these jobs !? It is certainly not because of their brains or lack of common sense.
Fortunately, a new team has come on board who have finally embraced the idea of bringing Cavill back as Superman. I’m super happy to see him in action again!
