Way back in 2003, there was an animated series in the works for Kingdom Hearts. It ended up being boxed, but it turns out that an animatic was produced for it. Seth Kearsley worked on the project as an executive producer and kept it animated for nearly twenty years.
Recently, he released the animatic online for everyone to enjoy. I actually dig quite the ideas behind what we see. I really appreciate that it’s not just about copying what we see in games, but rather about building on it. Plus, fight music is my jam!
You can watch the animation of about 11 minutes in a row. It features Bobby Edner like Sora ever since Haley Joel Osment had a scheduling conflict, but Hayden Panitteria And David Gallagher they would reprise their roles as Kairi and Riku.
