Colin Ferrell anticipates the opening scene of the DC THE PENGUIN series

Matt Reeves worked hard to produce his The Batman spin-off series for The Penguin. Colin Ferrell is set to reprise his role in the series, and I can’t wait to see how his story evolves over the course of the show as he makes his ascent into the criminal underworld of Gotham City.

During a recent interview with Ferrell, he shared that he had read the first script and anticipated what we can expect from the series’ opening scene, saying it will pick up shortly after the events of The Batman:

“Gotham is still a little bit underwater. I read the first script of the first episode and it opens with my feet splashing in the water in Falcone’s office. Even that alone, I read it, I was like, “Oh, man.”

The show was described as a “Scarface-like ”and I have no doubt that it will be great!

Ferrell previously shared a statement: “The world that Matt Reeves created for The Batman is one that deserves a deeper look through Oswald Cobblepot’s eyes. I couldn’t be more excited to continue this exploration of Oz as he ascends through the dark ranks to become The Penguin. It will be nice to bring him back to the streets of Gotham for some madness and some chaos. “
