Last weekend at New York Comic-Con, fans got to see a panel dedicated to the legacy of the Back to the Future trilogy of films and franchises. The jury saw the reunion of the movie stars Michael J. Fox And Christopher Lloyd.
The couple were asked to look back on the experience of making the three films together, and Lloyd talked about finding out mid-shoot that the original star of the first film, Eric Stoltzhas been replaced by Fox:
“The announcement – at 1:00 am after we were shooting for six weeks – was that the actor playing Marty would no longer play Marty and that we would start filming with Michael tomorrow,” Lloyd said during the panel. (for SYFY). “I felt I could barely get through the [first] six weeks and now I had to do it again ?! “
Fox went on to praise Lloyd’s performance in the movies and talked about what it was like to work alongside him, saying:
“All I had to do was just react. Take him inside and let him shower me. I thought it was brilliant. That was all: be with Chris and let him be Chris, and have fun … It was a thrill. Every time I have got to work with him, I knew it was going to be a good day. “
