The end of She-Hulk the Disney + series through which secondary characters of the MCU such as Titania, Mr. Immortal or the Demolition Brigade paraded, and now in its seventh chapter the show has presented us with a diverse group of superheroes, including the character of L’Aquila, the first Spanish superhero within the MCU.

Jennifer Walters, overwhelmed because her last date isn’t working for her and with a low self-esteem crisis, finds solace in a self-help group led by Emil Blonsky, the former villain also known as The Abomination. And within this group, Marvel unveiled the first Spanish mutant / superhero in the UCM: The Eagle.

In the comics El Águila is a Spanish swordsman with electric powers.

The Disney + series “She: Hukl” is in its seventh chapter, and this we have more and nothing less than the first Spanish superhero, El Águila, making his debut as a secondary character. And not just him, but a diverse group of heroes like The Porcupine, the Saracen, a character who thinks he’s a vampire, the Bull Man, all in Emil Blonsky’s self-help group.

In the comics, El Águila is a Spanish swordsman, originally from Madrid, named Alejandro Montoya, who lives in New York trying to fight crime. His most frequent companions are Luke Cage and Iron Fist. And, as seen in the seventh episode, he is a mutant with the ability to create bioelectric discharges.

The Eagle uses its double-edged steel sword to produce these bioelectric discharges, in order to emulate its idol, the Fox. The Eagle is a skilled fencing fighter with extraordinary skills with the sword and excellent hand-to-hand fighter, in addition to all this she is also an acrobat.

El Águila’s head of interpretation, Joseph Castillo-Midyett, already appeared in the second season of “Jessica Jones” with another role. The character repeats himself several times so as not to confuse him with El Matador, who is another villain from Spanish Marvel in the comics, who is a bullfighter.

El Matador was a Daredevil villain and El Águila also admits he was a bullfighter. All this makes one wonder if these two characters won’t face Daredevil, if he reappears in “She-Hulk”. For now we have two chapters left for the end of the season, so we’ll see if El Águila becomes more important soon.
