Among the theatrical releases in October 2022 we have “Halloween ends” the end of the saga that would have premiered its first part in 1978 with a budget of 325 thousand dollars and grossed more than 70 million, consolidating itself as one of the most surprising premieres in the history of horror films. After 44 years, this saga ends under the direction of David Gordon Green.
In the field of superheroes we have the debut of former wrestler Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson with whom “Black Adam” being DC Comics’ bet for this 2022 and the biggest premiere on the October bill. The film is one of Warner Bros’ big bets to have a successful year at the box office.
A bit of a weird movie for this Halloween season is ‘Passage to Heaven’. Played by George Clooney and Julia Roberts, it tells the story of a divorced couple who reunite and travel to Bali to prevent her daughter from making the same mistake they think they have made in the past.
The film ‘last viewed’ is a disappearance thriller starring veteran Gerard Butler. The story tells us how Will Spann, about to divorce, takes his still wife Lisa to his parents’ house, when out of nowhere he mysteriously disappears without a trace.
A Mexican comedy about teenagers, ‘Tell me about you’ tells the story of a young mobile addict who is contacted via a social network by a stranger who wants to meet him. In his attempt to find out who he is, his family’s secrets are revealed that will help him learn about his past.
Secondly, ‘Oaxa-california’ is a documentary about three generations of a Mexican-American family, who revisit their family twenty-five years later. The film explores the complexities of multigenerational immigrants, as well as the issues of belonging and otherness.
the romantic epic “Amsterdam”, is about three friends involved in one of the most shocking secrets in US history. Based on true events, it is one of the most anticipated releases of the year, featuring performances by stars such as Christian Bale, Margot Robbie, Anya Taylor-Joy, Chris Rock, Mike Myers, Robert De Niro, Rami Malek and even Taylor Swift.
Likewise, the documentary ‘They made us the night’ of Cyclone Dolores, which in 1974 flooded the town of Charco Redondo, in front of which its inhabitants were forced into exile and founded a new community. Four decades later, the Salinas Tello family allows us to enter their privacy.
