Christian Bale talks about the R-Rated deleted scenes in THOR: LOVE AND THUNDER

This summer’s Marvel blockbuster, Thor: Love and thunder, it was a lot of fun to watch, despite the naysayers. Some thought the director Taika Waititi let it get a little too silly, but my family really enjoyed it. Apparently, although the villain of the film, played by the Oscar winner Christian Baleit had a very dark history, it was almost interpreted even more.

In a recent interview with Inverse, the actor talked about how some of the impromptu scenes he made were pushed to the limits of category R, with support from Waititi. But he also mentioned that Thor himself, Chris Hemsworthsounded the voice of reason in those scenes and made sure he knew when things went too far:

“With Thor: Love and thunder, Taika and I, we knew some of the things we were doing probably wouldn’t end up in the movie, but we just wanted to push it and see. Ultimately, it is and should be a movie that the whole family can enjoy. And Chris Hemsworth, a couple of times he looked at me like, Dude, it’s a little too far. I think no one will want to see it unless it’s an R-rated movie. but it was a great joy to try. And we had a lot of fun doing certain scenes and accepting certain scene choices, even if they didn’t end up in the final cut. “

I think it turned out quite well. Sure, some things could have been fine-tuned, but I enjoyed it. And Bale was the perfect Gorr the God Butcher!
