Here’s a trailer for an upcoming low-budget horror movie titled Shady Forest, which features a group of friends terrified in the woods by an evil satanic cult. Looks ok for a very low budget horror movie. I’ll be honest though, I’ll probably never see it.
Here is the synopsis:
A young couple, Shaina and Mark, attend a music festival with their best friend Elijah on their annual pilgrimage away from their busy city life. It’s also kind of a farewell trip for the couple because they’re expecting, even if they haven’t told Elijah yet. Their plan is to tell them in the beautiful cabin they found on a vacation rental app.
Upon arrival the guest is nowhere to be found but left instructions for them on the door along with a gift basket of wine. Everything is perfect except the faint smell of death that only pregnant Shaina can smell. After the visit of two beautiful women, Shaina immediately becomes suspicious: things don’t add up.
When Elijah goes missing, she and Mark begin frantically searching for their friend, only to find they are being hunted down by figures wearing skinned animal masks.
The film was directed by Dale Resteghini and stars Niki McElroy, Todd Anthony, Victoria Baldesarra, Juhahn Jones, Becki Hayes, Jackie Ritz, Sydney Morgan, And Mohammad Abou-Abbas.
Gravitas Ventures will release Shady Forest on VOD platforms on 25 October.
