A new trailer for DC’s third season Pennyworth: The Origin of Batman’s Butler (such a horrible title) has surfaced and gives us our best look at the next adventure Alfred Pennyworth finds himself in.
While the trailer teases a lot of fun action and an interesting story, one thing present in the trailer that stands out above the rest is that the series apparently crosses over with Alan Moore And David Lloyd’S V for Vendetta.
About halfway through the trailer, we see a room full of people wearing Guy Fawkes masks, the same version of the mask that was popularized V for Vendetta, comic. There is no information about the context or how exactly this will fit into the story, but it’s interesting!
The series is the DC origin story of legendary Bruce Wayne’s butler, Alfred Pennyworth, “a former British SAS soldier who forms a security company and goes to work with young billionaire Thomas Wayne, who is not yet the billionaire father of Bruce “.
The third season of the psychological thriller begins after “a five-year time jump: the civil war is over and a cultural revolution has changed the world for better or for worse, ushering in a new era of superheroes and supervillains”.
