Director Todd Phillips chose an emerging actor Jacob Lofland (The maze runner) in his neighbor Joker below, which is titled Joker: Folie for two. Lofland is rumored to be taking on a key role in Arkham Asylum, but we don’t know who he might be.
There are so many Batman villains to choose from, but there is also the possibility that this could be an entirely new character created for the film. We won’t know until more details are revealed.
Lofland joins Joaquin Phoenix in the main role, Lady Gaga like Harley Quinn, and Zazie Beetz like Sophie Dumond, with Catherine Keener And Brendan Gleeson recently cast in unknown roles.
All we know about the film so far is that it will be a musical set primarily in Arkham Asylum. Also, the working title of the film, Joker: Folie for tworefers to the clinical term for “shared madness”, hallucinations and delusions of two people.
Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on October 4, 2024. Production is expected to begin in December.
