The first trailer and a series of character posters were shared for the next Hollywood movie set in the 1920s Babylonwhich derives from the director Damien Chazelle (Whiplash, La La Land). As you’ll see in the trailer, living life in Hollywood’s golden age is insane and insane with non-stop parties. Babylon looks like it will be another great Chazelle movie!
The film is described as an epic tale of “boundless ambitions and outrageous excesses, tracing the rise and fall of multiple characters during an era of unbridled decay and depravity in early Hollywood”. It is said to be like The Great Gatsbybut with steroids.
The film is the protagonist Brad Pitt like Jack Corrado, Margot Robbie like Nellie LaRoy, Diego Calva like Manny Torres, Jean Smart like Elinor St. John, Jovan Adepo like Sidney Palmer, and Li Jun Li like Lady Fay Zhu. The film is also the protagonist Lucas Haas like George Munn and Tobey Maguire like James McKay.
Babylon arrives on the big screen on December 25th.
