New photos from HALLOWEEN ENDS; Jamie Lee Curtis and the director talk about the end of the franchise

Director David Gordon Green is going to bring John Carpenter ‘s The Halloween horror franchise concludes with the upcoming movie Halloween ends, and I have no idea what to expect. All we’ve seen from the film so far are Laurie Strode and Michael Meyers in a brutal fight.

We now have some new information on the series along with some new photos to share with Laurie and Michael. When it comes to Laurie Strode in the film and where she is in her life, Jamie Lee Curtis She said:

“When you meet Laurie Strode, she has received help. It helps to process the level of violence that has been perpetrated against her and her family. She did the job. And there is a moment at the beginning of the film where you meet. Really Laurie – I’m not going to say she’s as innocent as she was when she was a 17-year-old girl – but she has a layer of hope about her. This is a nice place to start a really tragic and incredibly violent ending. “

It has been explained that Laurie and her niece Allyson live together and according to the actress Andi Matichak they have “a good relationship” after dealing with their “shared trauma and loss together”. As for where Michael was during this time jump, Green says:

“We don’t really explain. It’s like: I don’t want to see where the shark sleeps at night when I watch a shark movie. I want to see it when it shows up and has an appetite!”

I love that approach! There is so much mystery behind Michael Meyers, I’m perfectly fine not handling it. When it comes to ending the franchise, Green says:

“It’s really exciting [to be ending things]. Fuck yes! And it’s unnerving. I moved into the last scenes of the film in various orders and played with the music. How I want to feel [when] Do I leave the theater thinking there won’t be another one next year? So this is sculpture “.

He went on to explain what he wants audiences to feel from the film, saying, “This is a great time in the cinema. Let’s have fun, let’s ride the roller coaster with some unexpected twists and walk away feeling complete. What I want.”

Curtis added, “I recently saw a 1978 photograph of Laurie that Kim Gottlieb, who was our photo photographer, took. And it moves me to see myself then, actually. In the same way that Laurie doesn’t understand why everything it’s happening, I don’t understand why this is happening to me. Why did I have that moment in 1978? What made John and Debra [Hill] do you think i should be laurie?

He added: “They saw something that I don’t think I even saw. That was John and Debra’s great ability: to create that character in a city that is like every other city in the United States that then comes into contact with the epitome. bad. And 44 years later, we’re still interested in that confluence of those two things. That’s why, in the end, Halloween is above all others. “

Here is the complete synopsis:

After 45 years, the most acclaimed and revered horror franchise in film history reaches its epic and terrifying conclusion when Laurie Strode takes on the evil incarnation, Michael Myers, for the last time in a showdown unlike any other film on the screen first. Only one of them will survive.

Icon Jamie Lee Curtis returns for the last time as Laurie Strode, the first “last girl” in horror and the role that launched Curtis’ career. Curtis played Laurie for more than four decades, one of the longest actor-character pairings in film history. When the franchise was relaunched in 2018, Halloween broke box office records to become the highest-grossing chapter of the franchise and set a new record for the biggest opening weekend for a female-starring horror film.

Four years after the events of last year Halloween kills, Laurie lives with her niece Allyson (Andi Matichak) and is finishing writing her memoirs. Michael Myers hasn’t been seen since. Laurie, after allowing Michael’s specter to determine and guide her reality for decades, has decided to break free from fear and anger and embrace life. But as a young man, Corey Cunningham (Rohan Campbell; The tough guys, virgin river), accused of killing a boy she babysat, triggers a cascade of violence and terror that will force Laurie to finally face the evil she can’t control, once and for all.

Halloween ends co-stars returning to the cast Will Patton as officer Frank Hawkins, Kyle Richards such as Lindsey Wallace and Giacomo Giuda Courtney like La Forma.

The film will be released in theaters on October 14, 2022. Enjoy the teaser!
