Disney + has released a teaser trailer for its next adaptation of the series Rick Riordanfantasy adventure books Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The trailer premiered at the D23 Expo and was presented by three stars of the series, including Walter Scobell, Ariano Simhadri And Leah Sava Jeffries.
This is our first real look at the series and it really looks like it could be a decent show. I like what I see in the teaser and can’t wait to see more of it. It looks like it might be a better fit than the films that have been made. The creative team can certainly have more fun delving into the characters and the story with a series like this one.
The series tells the fantastic story of the 12-year-old titular modern demigod (Scobell), “who is just grappling with his new supernatural powers when the sky god Zeus accuses him of stealing his lightning master. With the help of her friends Grover and Annabeth, Percy must embark on an unforgettable adventure to find her and restore order to Olympus.
The rest of the cast includes those cast members include Virginia Kull, Glynn Turman, Jason Mantzukas, Megan MulallyAnd Tim Sharp.
Riordan e Jon Steinberg wrote the pilot, and James Bobin directs. Steinberg will oversee the series with his production partner Dan Shotz.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians will arrive on Disney + in 2024.
