WayForward releases a new trailer and story details for RIVER CITY GIRLS 2

It’s the world against Misako and Kyoko River City girls 2 and we have a new trailer to prove it. WayForward has released a new trailer for their next game which includes some new story details. Here is the official synopsis:

Crime lord Sabu breaks out of prison to avenge the humiliating defeat of his daughter Sabuko at the hands of Misako and Kyoko in the early River City Girls. He immediately takes control of River City and makes life miserable for the heroines, kicking them out of school and turning the city into a lawless battle zone. Sabu’s efforts to restore his family name are aided by his irreverent adopted son Ken (previously seen in River City Girls Zero) and an army of underworld thugs led by tech expert Tsuiko, chef Primo and magical witch Blaire. Sabu’s dominance is almost assured: Will Misako, Kyoko and their allies be able to fight back? More importantly, will they be able to travel across the city to purchase the latest hit video game ??

Luckily for Misako and Kyoko, a four-player co-op mode will be available with six characters to choose from: Misako, Kyoko, Riki, Kunio, Provie, and Marian. There will be more combos, weapons and new elemental attacks to deal extra damage. And with the original River city girls composer Megan Mc Duffee returning, we are sure we have an amazing soundtrack to play with. No official release date yet, but pre-orders for physical copies will be available soon with Limited Run Games. I loved the first one River city girls, everything is really well done from the design, to the controls, to the music and of course the dubbing. This was one of my most anticipated new games coming out, so I’m very excited to see some of the fun new features revealed in this trailer. Check it out and let me know what you think. Who will be your main character?
