Warner Bros. Discovery cancels the DC FanDome virtual event in favor of in-person events

Warner Bros. Discovery has canceled its virtual DC FanDome fan event, launched in 2020 in the midst of the pandemic to celebrate all that is DC. I never thought DC FanDome was going to be permanent and the studio’s new leadership is trying to report things on events in person, which makes sense.

In a statement from DC, they say, “With the return of events in person, Warner Bros. Discovery is thrilled to be able to interact with our fans live in numerous comics-con around the world and will not plan DC FanDome for 2022. “

This summer, WB led Black Adam And Shazam! Fury of the gods at San Diego Comic-Con and are also scheduled to attend New York Comic Con in October.

I’m all for in-person events, but I’m sure some fans will be disappointed that DC FanDome won’t continue. Regardless, you’ll always be able to find the latest DC movie news here on GeekTyrant.
