The Take it The cheerleader franchise is getting a horror movie thanks to SYFY titled Bring It On: Cheer or Dieand today we have some photos to share with you to give us a first look.
The film is said to contain “cheering routines to die for and a thrilling new energy that overturns the format of the long-running cheerleading tournament.” I just think it’s funny that the Take it franchise made the leap into horror.
The story follows “A cheering team’s plan for a secret workout at an abandoned school close to Halloween takes a terrifying turn when their teammates start disappearing one by one.
The film was directed by Karen Lam (Ghost Wars, Van Helsing), and is the protagonist Miss Pile (Y: The last man, Dirty John), Kerri Medders (Panic, SEAL team) And Tiera Skovbye (Midnight Sun, Riverdale).
The film is from Universal 1440 Entertainment and Beacon Pictures. Glenn Ross, General Manager and Executive Vice President of Universal 1440 Entertainment, said, “We are thrilled to partner with SYFY to continue this ever popular franchise with a new installment from acclaimed director Karen Lam, the first female director of the film series. With a fresh take on the franchise’s historic comedy films, the next chapter showcases a diverse cast of many talents and will entertain for a long time. Take it cinema fans, as well as opening the doors to the legion of fans who love thrillers ”.
The film is written by Rebecca McKendry (Glorious) And Dana Schwartz (She-Hulk) from a story of Alyson Fouse (Bring It On: Fight to the finish).
Bring It On: Cheer or Die is expected to debut on SYFY in the fall of 2022.
