SyFy Channel has released a trailer for its upcoming vampire horror comedy Reginaldo the vampire. The series is the protagonist Spiderman‘S Jacob Batalon as a goofy boy named Reginald who turns into a vampire, but he’s not the average vampire.
Reginaldo the vampire is based on Johnny B. Truant’S Fat vampire novels. The network describes the 10-episode series as a comedy-drama “with a lot of heart and enough blood” that “proves that the life of the undead is as complicated as life itself.” The series “also overturns traditional vampire tropes while draining the blood from modern day beauty standards.”
Here is the synopsis of the series:
“Imagine a world populated by beautiful, fit and vain vampires. Reginald Andres (Batalon) comes across headlong as an unlikely hero who will have to overcome all sorts of obstacles: the girl he loves but can’t be with, a bossy manager at work, and the vampire boss who wants him dead. Fortunately, Reginald discovers that he has some unrecognized powers of him. ”
Batalone (Spider-Man: There is no way to go home) leads a cast that includes Aren Buchholz (When it calls the heart) like Todd, Em Haine (The Mighty Ducks: Game Changer) as Sarah Kinney, waters of Georgia (Siren) like Penelope, Mandela Van Peebles (Kingstown Mayor) as Maurice Miller, Margherita Hanna like Ashley, Savannah Basley (Wynonna Earp) like Angela, e Sean Yves (Heartland) like Lebron.
Reginaldo the vampire is produced by Great Pacific Media Inc., Modern Story Company, December Films and Cineflix Studios and executive producer from Harley Peyton, Jeremiah Chechik, Todd Berger, Lindsay Macadam, Brett BurlockAnd Peter Emerson.
