There are only a few days left until the arrival of “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” on Prime Video and the hype is already unbearable. Some privileged members of the press were able to see the first two chapters, both directed by JA Bayona, and their reactions were not long in coming.. As for the rest of the mortals, the series will be available on September 2 on the platform, although Amazon has organized around 200 cinemas in a good handful of countries (although Spain is not on the list) for anyone who wants to see them. first two chapters on the big screen next August 31st. The reactions couldn’t be more positive on all levels. Journalists praise the technical workmanship, as well as its proximity to both Peter Jackson’s novels and films.

One of the first to give his opinion was none other than Neil Gaiman himself, author of the comic of the same name on which the recent and successful Netflix series, ‘Sandman’, was based. “Very, very funny. I remember buying ‘The Silmarillion’, which came out when I was in school, and it wasn’t quite the prequel I was expecting. This is the kind of thing I wanted to try back then. come the whole thing. ” series when it comes out.

For his part, Steven Weintraub, of Collider, announces that he has already seen the two episodes before getting wet: “Prepare to be amazed by the scope and reach of ‘The Rings of Power’. I don’t know how they did it, but they did a “Lord of the Rings” show that looks like “Lord of the Rings””. In another tweet that followed the thread, he commented that everything about the series was incredible: “From photography to film-quality costumes and sets. And, of course, the cast. Get ready for something special, I can’t wait.”.

Guide TV’s Kate Moon has been full of praise for producing Prime Video, calling it a product worth seeing on the big screen. “It’s great, bold and ambitious, I loved it. The shots of Middle-earth are great and I wish everyone could see it on the big screen.”.

Journalist Rodrigo Salem, like Moon, points out that he should be seen in a movie theater as well as his connection to the “Lord of the Rings” and “The Hobbit” trilogy: “‘The Rings of Power’ is a cinematic experience. In a perfect world, we would see it on the big screen. It is pure Tolkien and seems very connected to Peter Jackson’s films. The special effects are great, the acting is excellent, and the PROLOGUE itself will erase any bad feelings you may have had.”.

the last preview
On August 23, Prime Video released the last preview before the series arrived. Set in the Second Era (thousands of years before the events of the Peter Jackson trilogy), ‘The Rings of Power’ will narrate the rise of Sauron and how the Dark Lord tried to trick the elves to forge the famous magical rings. Created by JD Payne and Patrick McKay, it has a supporting cast consisting of Markella Kavenagh, Morfydd Clark, Joseph Mawle, Maxim Baldry Robert Aramayo, Nazanin Boniadi and Owain Arthur, among many others. The wait is almost over: ‘The Rings of Power’ will arrive on Prime Video on September 2nd.
