Actress nominated for an Oscar and a Golden Globe Amy Ryan (gone baby gone, The office, Only murders in the building) signed to star in the upcoming Los Angeles-based crime series, sugarnext to Colin Farrell (In Bruges, The Batman) And Kirby Howell-Baptiste (Barry, The good place).
Marco Protosevich (The cell, I am a legend, Thor) is the writer and executive producer of the series. Farrell will serve as executive producer in addition to acting. Fernando Meirelles (City of God, Two Popes) will direct and executive produce.
Details of the show’s plot and character remain hidden, aside from the fact that it is described as a contemporary take on the private detective novel set in Los Angeles.
So far, I’m looking forward to doing it based on the associated cast and talent alone. We will keep you updated as more information on sugar becomes available.
