Ryan Phillippe (Accident, MacGruber) is among the new cast members who have joined the religious thriller Santa Chiarain front of Bella Thorne (Mixed, The nanny). Other newcomers to the film include Rebecca De Mornay (Lucifer), Frank Whaley (pulp Fiction), Bart Johnson (Musical high school) And Dylan Flashner (The card counter).
The film is based on Don Roffis the best-selling novel Chiara at 4pmand is directed by Mitzi Peirone (Die to play), from a script with which she adapted Geneva Turner (The word l, The infamous Bettie page).
Santa Chiara follows Clare Bleecker (Thorne), a quiet Catholic college student with a divine calling for murder. Phillippe will play the role of Timmons, a police officer investigating the latest murder in the town, with Clare as the main suspect. Whaley will play postman Bob, a ghost from Clare’s past, with Johnson playing the dual roles of twin brothers Joe and Randall, and Flashner as supporting Wade.
