A foreigner the prequel series is officially in the works at STARZ and should be titled Blood of my blood. The series “will follow Jamie Fraser’s love story (Sam Heughan) parents, Ellen MacKenzie and Brian Fraser ”. Matthew B. Roberts I will write Outlander: Blood of my blood and will serve as showrunner and executive producer. He is also the showrunner and executive producer of the flagship series currently in production in the seventh season.
Maril Davis will also executive produce the prequel with Ronald D. Moore, who developed it foreigner for TV, under their Tall Ship Productions banner. Story Mining & Supply Company will also be EP with Diana Gabaldon, whose novels inspired the franchise, serving as a consulting producer.
Gabaldon revealed in February that she is writing a prequel book about Jamie’s parents.
