It is undeniable that Bad Bunny surprises by playing ‘El Lobo’ in ‘Bullet Train’, but Joey King is by no means short of his charactera tremendously peculiar killer who plays on the fact that all the men around her are fascinated by her “good girl” looks. “That innocence of hers and the way she pretends to be vulnerable has always been in the script.”The king says, “but suddenly start crying is something David [Leitch, director] and I found it together”.

‘The Prince’, a character played by King, carries “a little bit of ‘my mother is crazy'” and a comic touch that “It also benefits Limón, Mandarina and Mariquita, who could play and joke about it”. Brian Tyree Henry, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Brad Pitt bring these hitmen to life, completing a stellar cast that made it impossible not to activate ‘fan mode’. “It was crazy to be able to shoot a film with professionals that I admire so much. Unfortunately I didn’t share any scenes with Bad Bunny, we just crossed paths; but sharing scenes with Brad is the coolest thing you can imagine. He is the cutest guy in the world, super normal and wonderful. With him I really felt like a friend: he makes you feel at home, which I really appreciate “.

Henry, Taylor-Johnson and Pitt star in numerous sequences full of spectacular choreography loaded with hits, something inherent in a Leitch movie that King sadly couldn’t be a part of. “When you join a project with David Leitch you think ‘I want to get into the fight!’ in your gym, then somehow I got my fill of David Leitch”.

This veteran director, a former stuntman, now directs based on all that knowledge, an experience that doubles as a support for the younger members of the team, in this case King. The actress also says that along with Leitch, Pitt became a great help. “It really put me at ease and we talked about some personal stuff I was going through at the time. It is very helpful to be able to talk to someone who has gone through it all”.

Perfect summer plan

‘Bullet Train’ is a huge hit, “He has action, obviously, a lot of action, but it’s also a lot of fun”says the king. Zazie Beetz, Logan Lerman, Andrew Koji, Hiroyuki Sanada and Michael Shannon are also part of the cast of this Sony film as it seeks to conquer the summer box office.

“It’s one of those movies that makes you feel like you’re in an escape room because there are so many twists and turns and a thousand unexpected things happen; all this while you burst out laughing with crazy situations. Let’s talk about 7 killers on a train, what more could you ask for!”. You can ask for little more, really. 5 August in theaters.
