The performance was the icing on the cake for Lil Nas X, 22, and Jack, 24. The couple received two nominations, including one for Best Melodic Rap Performance for “Industry Baby.” Jack was also included in Lil Nas X’s Album of the Year nomination Montero. Lil Nas X was also nominated for best music video and record of the year for “Montero (Call Me By Your Name)”.

The couple’s performance was the last time the dynamic duo came together to present a breathtaking rendition of “Industry Baby.” Since the release of the scandalous music video in July 2021, the song has grown in popularity and became a huge hit. Lil Nas X gave a sensual performance of the song at the 2021 MTV VMAs in September, where she undressed with her boxers the same way in the music video.
