El Hosseini recently directed an upcoming Netflix movie swimmersFrom a screenplay he wrote with Jack Thorne.
The film is produced by Eric Fellner and Tim Bevan, Ali Jafar and Working Title’s Tim Cole. Stephen Daldry serves as executive producer.
swimmers Follow the miraculous journey of sister swimmers Yousra and Sara Mardin, who fled war-torn Syria as refugees before the 2016 Rio Olympics.
His first film as a director, my brother is the devilIt premiered at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival and has since screened at 40 festivals around the world. The film won Best European Feature at the Berlin International Film Festival, Best Newcomer at the BFI London Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Debut at the British Independent Film Awards.
El Hossain directed all three parts of the film. BabylonBritish television series created for Channel 4 by Danny Boyle, Robert Jones, Jesse Armstrong and Sam Bain. The series aired on SundanceTV in the United States.
It continues to be managed by Anonymous Content and presented in the UK by Sayle Screen.
