BLACK ADAM star Dwayne Johnson claims Henry Cavill is “the superman of our generation”

With Dwayne Johnson enter the DC cinematic universe with Black Adamfans have been wondering if he will ever face Superman, in particular Henry Cavillthe version of the character. In a recent interview with CB, Johnson was asked this and in his response he claims that Cavill is the Superman of our generation.

“I will say. I will say that Henry is a friend and he is a phenomenal Superman. He is a phenomenal Superman and Henry Cavill is the Superman of our generation compared to other Supermans of the past. Whenever I see him, we have tequila and I say” This boy is Superman. “My longtime business partner Dany Garcia has been an avid supporter of Henry Cavill and his career for a long, long, long time.”

So, it is likely that if Johnson’s Black Adam ever comes face to face with Superman, it will be Cavill’s version of the character. You see, Dwayne Johnson he wields that kind of power, and if that’s what he wants, that’s what he’ll get. I wonder if the next time we see Cavill’s Superman will be when he and Black Adam meet.

Don’t expect Superman to appear first in this one Black Adam movie, though! During the panel of the film at Comic-Con, the director Jaume Collet-Serra confirmed that neither Superman nor Shazam would appear in the film. He explained:

“Our film is an original story. When the film ends, he doesn’t know who Shazam or Superman are. He has to fit in with why he’s here, what the world is about.”

Johnson also talked about the role of Black Adam and why he wanted to play this character, saying:

“Like most children growing up, I dreamed of being a superhero. As a kid, Superman was the hero I always wanted to be. But, after a few years in my fantasy, I realized that Superman was the hero I wouldn’t have. never could have been. I was too rebellious. Too turbulent. Too resistant to convention and authority. “

During the panel, Johnson was asked who would win in a fight between his Black Adam and Superman. This was his response to this:

“Don’t threaten me with fun because I’m going to answer this question. Well, I’ll say, as you guys know, because we’re all involved in this mythology and it’s been the age-old question of who would win in a fight between Black Adam and Superman. Pound for Pound, Pound for Pound,” they’re pretty close. I guess it probably all depends on who’s playing Superman. I’ll just say it.

Do you think we’ll ever see Johnson’s Black Adam fight Henry Cavill’s Superman? I think it will eventually happen, but it will take a long time before we see it. Black Adam is currently slated to hit theaters on October 21st.
