Marvel Studios will make a big hit at Comic-Con on Saturday, but while we await their unveiling, we’ve just learned that they’re developing a new movie titled The mutants.
The news comes from a recent Deadline report that mentions several films that Marvel is currently developing. That list included Fantastic Four, Lama, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, The wondersand a movie they call The mutants.
There are no details on the film or whether it will include X-Men characters, but the mutants have been officially introduced to the MCU with the revelation of Ms. Marvel that they have mutated DNA. That revelation came with a musical riff by X-Men: the animated series theme song.
Personally, I’m not a fan of the direction they are taking the whole mutant thing in the MCU. I was a little disappointed with that revelation Lady Marvel. The series got off to a great start, but as the series progressed the story lost me. Kamala Khan’s arc in the comic was so much better! I’m not sure why they haven’t stayed true to what worked.
I don’t know, we’ll just have to wait and see what Marvel’s grand master plan is with the mutants, but I’m not a fan of how it’s starting out. I’m not the only one feeling this way, a lot of fans do, and I see a lot of people talking on social media about the quality of Marvel’s storytelling getting worse.
