Netflix is working on a live-action adaptation of the popular anime Yu Yu Hakusho. This anime is one that I really like and one that I mentioned earlier has a lot of potential as a live-action movie. Well, on social media, Netflix slowly revealed the main cast of Yusuke Urameshi, Kazuma Kuwabara, Hiei and Kurama starting with this tease.

It was later revealed that Takumi Kitamura would play lead spirit detective Yusuke, Jun Shison will play the sensitive demon Kurama, Kanata Hongo will be the diabolical Hiei, and Shuhei Uesugi will play the role of the strong Kuwabara. It will certainly be interesting to see what direction this adaptation takes. It’s a series so I’m inclined to think it’s going to be close to a 1: 1 fit, but then again Cowboy Bebop he did not. Which approach do you think would be the best?
