Everything we’ve heard about development Deadpool 3 in the last few months it has been exciting. Writers Rhett Reese And Paul Wernick they enjoyed working on the script and were delighted with the creative freedom that Marvel Studios and Disney gave them.
The writers continue to provide updates on the film, and each time they do, they share how excited they are to work on the project. In their most recent interview with DiscussingFilm, they claim that the studio was “very aloof and supportive” of watching the film. Reese said:
“It’s almost like wearing a comfortable old sweater. Marvel really gave us the support to keep the tone and vision we have for it. They’ve been very helpful and supportive, but they’ve also allowed us to do what we do. So really, it was just fun. We’re mad scientists in the lab again. Deadpool is our favorite, he’ll always be the character I think we’re most associated with, and we’re very grateful for letting us write to him again. So he’s a blast. . It’s like going back to school again after spending the summer off. It’s kind of fun. “
Speaking earlier on the support they received from Marvel and Disney, Reese said:
“Don’t worry, they’ve been very supportive about that. Now, when it comes to a particular line, if we cross a line, maybe at some point we’ll hear, ‘Maybe not that line.’ But I think they were incredibly supportive of what we were doing, because obviously we were doing it separately from them for a long time, and I think they saw success and had their success even greater. So hopefully it’s a made in marriage. heaven. But we definitely have their support and it’s a great thing to try. “
When he teased the story of the film, Reese shared that it will be a “fish out of water story”. He explained:
“It’s a wonderful opportunity for fish out of water. Deadpool is a madman at the center of a film. Usually, the insane are the secondary characters and the protagonist is reasonably sane and our film is upside down. crazy in a very healthy world, it’s pure butter, it’s going to be really fun.
Shawn Levy is set to direct the film, and Ryan Reynolds will reprise the role of Deadpool. Can’t wait to see what story they come up with for this character now that he’s in the MCU!
