When the first trailer for Marvel’s She-Hulk: lawyer the series was released, the CGI was met with a lot of criticism from fans. Some people just didn’t believe it. It’s actually not that bad, though! The guys from Corridor Crew recently shared a video outlining all the reasons why CGI is good.
Now the director of the series, Kat Coiròresponds to criticism and talks about the CGI work done for the series with SFX magazine saying:
“He’s really taking the design and asking, ‘Are we getting those facial expressions and those undertones of reaction? That’s where it comes in all the time, just really honing.”
As for the reaction of fans to the first trailer that reveals the CGI, this is what they expected. He explained:
“I think a lot of the reactions have to do with the fact that it’s so different from anything we’ve seen. When you think of Thanos or the Hulk, they have a macabre, hardness and bulk that is just so different. And when you just see a little pop of her, it’s almost shocking because we’ve never seen it before.
Coiro goes on to talk about working with Victory AlonsoMarvel Studios president of physics, post production, visual effects and animation, and what leads to the design of She-Hulk, saying:
“He has such an amazing eye, and to me a lot of that eye comes from this very emotional gut reaction he has, which is backed up by decades of technical experience.
“What I think is so great is that he keeps this real emotional reaction to the visual effects. Watching his work has taught me so much about why something works and why it doesn’t work; why does he go to a mysterious valley? ‘actor and capture her “.
There is a lot of work to be done to create CGI characters like this, and I think they are doing good things with this series. We will have to wait and see what the finished product looks like.
She-Hulk: lawyer follows Jennifer Walters (Tatiana Maslany) “while navigating the complicated life of a 30-year-old single lawyer who also happens to be a green hulk with 6-foot 7-inch superpowers.” The nine-episode series is described as an Ally McBeal-style legal media.
The show is also the protagonist Tim Roth as Emil Blonsky / the Abomination, and Benedict Wong like Wong, Ginger Gonzaga, Josh Segarra, Jameela Jamil, Jon BassAnd Renée Elise Goldsberry.
Rick and Morty‘S Jessica Gao created the show and Kat Coiro shared the directing duties of the series with Anu Valia. Executive producers are Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Victoria AlonsoAnd Brad Winderbaum.
