Assemble Entertainment has announced a new game slated for release in 2023, Verne: The form of fantasy. Based on the actual works of Giulio Verne, the game is set in a parallel universe in 1888. Explore puzzles and villains of the terrifying “Nation” as you work to uncover the secrets of Atlantis. You will board the mighty Nautilus as Jules Verne and collaborate with Captain Nemo and the brave crew as you try to locate the power that destroyed Atlantis: the Flame of Hephaestus. You will have the help of the “IMAG”, an ancient Atlantean device that will allow Verne to rewrite his story and change the destiny of the adventure. It will be a side scroller inspired by old school adventure games where solving puzzles and exploring everything will be the key to success.

The game looks really fun, especially for fans of the legendary Verne. Verne’s novels have been on my “must-read” list for a long time, but I think I’ll have to make sure to read them before this game is released as it will surely be filled with Easter eggs for those familiar with his works. However, this game looks extremely fun, I love a good adventure story and this one seems to have an amazing narrative. You can check out the trailer below and put it on your wishlist on Steam now where you can also play a free demo.
