Claire Foy (The crown), Jamie Bell (Shining girls), Andrea Scott (Lots of fleas), And Paolo Mescal (Normal people) joined the cast of a new film project titled Foreigners. The film is directed by Andrew Haigh (Weekends, lean on Pete), and is loosely based on an award-winning novel by Taichi Yamada.
The film is a supernatural thriller that follows screenwriter “Adam (Scott) who, one night in his nearly empty building in contemporary London, has a chance encounter with his mysterious neighbor Harry (Mescal) who sets the pace of his daily life. As Adam and Harry get closer, Adam is taken back to his childhood home where he discovers that his long-dead parents (Foy and Bell) (Foy and Bell) both live and are the same age as the day they died more than 30 years ago.
It sounds like a fascinating premise and it caught my curiosity. It will be interesting to see how this story turns out.
The project is set up by Searchlight Pictures and the producers of the film are Graham Broadbent, Pete CzerninAnd Sarah Harveywith Ben Cavaliere, Diarmuid McKeown, Ollie Madden, Daniel BattsekAnd Farhana Bhula acting as executive producers.
