Chris Evans he may not be willing to return to playing Captain America again in the MCU, but he is absolutely ready to return to the role of Johnny Storm, aka The Human Torch, for Fantastic Four!
During a recent interview with MTV News, Evans was asked to play a variant of Johnny Storm at one point in the MCU. He replied:
“God, wouldn’t that be great? Wouldn’t that be great? No, no one ever came to me about that. I mean, I’m not exactly the same anymore. It was 15, almost 20 years ago. Oh my God, I’m old. But I really love that character, but I think … aren’t they doing something now with the Fantastic Four? “
On the possibility of playing a variant despite a new one Fantastic Four explained that it would be an easier sale for him than returning to Captain America:
“Yeah, I guess that’s true. I mean, I guess all bets are wrong. Yeah. Look, I’d love to. I’d love to. It would really be an easier sale for me than coming back as a Cap. You know what I mean? Cap is so valuable. for me. And you know, I almost don’t want to interrupt that beautiful experience that was. But Johnny Storm, I feel like he didn’t really have his day. This was before Marvel really found out its basics. So I loved that role. and, you know, who knows “.
At this point, anything is possible in the MCU, especially with all the different variations running in different universes. Seeing Chris Evans as Johnny Storm again wouldn’t be the craziest thing that has happened in the MCU!
What do you think? Would you like to see Evans at Johnny Storm in the MCU again?
