The criminal thriller AMC DARK WINDS has been renewed for season 2


The AMC crime thriller just premiered Dark Winds has been renewed for a second season. The noir crime thriller premiered on AMC on June 12. The first season will consist of six episodes in total, as well as the second season. The show is based on the Leaphorn & Chee book series Tony Hillerman.

Set in 1971 in a remote Navajo Nation outpost near Monument Valley, the series follows Lt. Joe Leaphorn (Zahn McClarnon) of the Tribal Police as it was besieged by a series of apparently unrelated crimes. The closer he gets to the truth, the more he exposes the wounds of his past. On this journey he is joined by his new deputy, Jim Chee (Kiowa Gordon). Chee also has old accounts to settle from her youth on the reservation.

The cast also includes Jessica Matten, Deanna Allison, Rainn Wilson, Elva Guerra, Jeremiah Bitsui, Eugenio Brave RockAnd Noah Emmerich.

Graham Roland created the series and serves as executive producer alongside McClarnon, Robert Redford, Giorgio RR Martin, Annie Hillerman, Chris Eyre, Vincenzo Calandra, Vincenzo GerardiAnd Tina Elmo.
