The next MCU movie Spider-Man: the new day It promises to be one of the most ambitious web–slinger stories ever made.
Rich in heroes who return, bad and some new surprising faces, the film promises to push Peter Parker into a darker and more concrete territory than we have seen before. Now, new details on the main villain of the film and on what causes Peter’s collapse are starting to emerge.
We already know Spider-Man: the new day He will see Peter face large pieces such as The Punisher, The Hulk and The Scorpion, with also Tombstone recently confirmed that it will appear. But who will be the true central antagonist of the film has remained so far a mystery.
The film reporter John Rocha, who was the first to share the news on the involvement of Frank Castle and Bruce Banner, revealed some new privileged information.
“I had contacts with sources close to production and with someone who was recently present at the presentation of the film by Disney.
“What has been told is that the main bad guy is a formal form. They chose the character, but I am not allowed to say who he was. I am not sure if he is the chameleon or not, but they are forgotten.”
Despite this, Rocha stressed that Hulk and The Punisher are still the “main characters” of history. He also shared some interesting details on how Peter’s personal life will influence his mental state.
“Boomerang will also be part of this film, and the fact that MJ has a new boyfriend, who is what makes Peter angry and makes the film a little darker and more rooted.”
This coincides with what we know about Peter Parker. The idea that MJ goes on with someone new could be devastating, and if Peter is not completely healed, that emotional blow could be the thing that pushes him towards a more dangerous and unstable mental space.
As for the wandering woman, could it be the role that you rumored will play Sadie Sink, or perhaps the role of the oldest female protagonist reported at the beginning of this year? A version of Chameleon with gender change is an option, but another strong candidate is Shathra.
Appeared for the first time in the comics of J. Michael Straczynski AND Giovanni Romita Jr.Shathra is a creature similar to a Vespa that once disguised as a woman named Sharon Keller to torment Spider-Man.
More recent interpretations have even positioned it as a powerful multival villain linked to Ragnoverso. Bring it to the MCU could create some really exciting future plots.
Meanwhile, Jeff Sneider has recently anticipated him Sam Raimi It could end up directing Marvel ‘s children of midnightAlthough it seemed less sure that Raimi would return for a movie connected to the MCU Spider -Man 4. That voice still seems a pious desire, at least for now.
Spider-Man: Brand New Day will be released in cinemas on July 31, 2026.
