Review: Tron: Ares brings you back to the grid for one hell of a great and immersive ride!

I was a Tron Fan since I saw the first movie when I was a kid. The original Tron is one of those rare sci-fi films that felt like it was from the future, with its neon-drenched world and innovative ideas about technology and identity.

Then it arrived Tron: Legacywhich took that retro magic and gave it a modern and visually spectacular makeover. It wasn’t perfect, but it was stylish, exciting, and set up so much potential for the future of the franchise.

Now, after years of waiting, Disney has finally delivered Tron: Aresand I have to say, it completely blew me away! I loved this movie!

Tron: Ares takes everything Inheritance Built and supercharges it. The film doesn’t take us back to the grid; Pull the grid into our world.

Directed by Joachim Rønningthis film pushes the franchise into wild new territory, exploring what happens when digital life enters the real world. It has that perfect blend of sci-fi spectacle and emotional storytelling that makes for an unforgettable cinematic experience.

The story centers on Ares, a very advanced program played by Jared Letowho was sent from the digital world into the real one on a mission. It is humanity’s first real encounter with artificial intelligence in physical form.

What makes this story work so well is how personal it feels. Ares isn’t just another machine trying to escape his programming, he’s a being who ends up on a journey to become human. It’s a digital age twist on Pinocchio and it works beautifully.

I’ll admit, I wasn’t thrilled when Leto was first cast in the film. I’m not a big fan of the actor. But he’s actually great in this movie. He brings authentic vulnerability and depth to Ares. You can feel the conflict within him, the struggle between logic and emotion, code and conscience.

Even though I’m not a fan of Leto, I have to admit that I actually liked him in this movie and wasn’t expecting that. The supporting cast is equally strong. Greta Lee She absolutely owns her role as Eve Kim, a brilliant but lonely programmer who runs Encom. He’s the human counterweight to Ares’ awakening, and their scenes together give the film real emotional weight.

The rest of the ensemble includes Evan Peters, Jodie Turner-Smith, Cameron Monaghan, Sarah Desjardins, Hasan Minhaj, Arturo CastroAND Gillian Andersonand they all bring something unique to the table. Then you have Jeff Bridges Returning as Kevin Flynn, adding that touch of legacy magic that fans will love. His presence binds the whole Tron Saga together in a way that feels earned.

I appreciated how much focus the film put on character development and emotional storytelling. This film takes the time to build meaningful arcs for its characters.

Ares isn’t just a program trying to survive; He’s learning what it means to feel, to make choices, to care, and that journey has been incredibly interesting and engaging.

His interactions with Eve Kim give the story real heart, showing the clash between logic and humanity in a way that feels intimate and grounded.

The supporting characters also get moments to shine, and each adds something to Ares’ evolution. The story itself may seem simple on the surface, but it’s told with purpose and clarity, exploring identity and connection through a sci-fi lens that feels both epic in scope and deeply personal.

Visually, this film is next level. The combination of elegant real-world environments with grid-style designs is absolutely stunning. Rønning and his team did a fantastic job

Then there’s the soundtrack…Holy Hell. Nine inch nails It delivers a score that is pure badass. It pulses through every scene, fueling action and emotion as if it were born for this universe.

This is all I wanted from a Tron followed. It’s intelligent, emotional and visually explosive. Honor what came before as it burned its own path forward.

I had an absolute blast Tron: Ares. This movie is pure high energy fun from start to finish. It’s the kind of cinematic experience that grabs you right away and doesn’t let go.

Every chase, every fight, every visual moment explodes with creativity and style. The pacing is tight, the action sequences are electric and the combination of visuals and sound keeps the adrenaline pumping.

I found myself smiling so much because it’s just such a beautiful ride. It’s nice to see a Tron Film that balances heart, spectacle and pure entertainment so well. Watching it on the big screen with the sound of sound seemed to be connected directly to the grid.

I loved how engaging this film is. This is a movie that demands to be seen on the big one with the sound thrown up to Max. Between the visuals, the music, and the story, I was completely engrossed from start to finish. It’s the kind of movie that reminds you why we love going to theaters… to escape, get lost in another world, and feel something great.

If you’re a longtime fan, you’ll be thrilled. If you’re new to the franchise, you’re in for a wild ride. Tron: Ares It’s not just a return to the grid, it’s an exciting step into a new digital frontier. I also have to say that I liked it more than Tron: Legacy.

Now I know Tron: Ares received some mixed reactions from critics, but I don’t care, I had fun with this movie. It’s visually insane, the world building is fantastic, and it just offers that pure cinematic enjoyment. Sometimes you just have to sit back, soak it all in, and enjoy!

I hope this movie does well at the box office because I want to see a sequel made and this movie makes a sequel!
