Luke Wilson (Old school) is returning to the fairway with the longtime collaborator Will Ferrell In the new series of 10 episodes of Netflix golf comedies. This scores another team for the duo, which has a long story of breaking the audience together on the screen.
The without title focuses on Lonnie “The Hawk” Hawkins, played by Ferrell, an imaginary golf legend whose days of glory on the path collide with the chaos of his personal life.
The show has already lined up a stacked cast including Molly Shannon, Jimmy Tatro, Fortune feimster, Chris Parnell, Katelyn TarverAND David Hornsby.
Shannon takes on the role of the ex -wife with the acute language of Lonnie Stacy, while Tatro plays his son Lance, a golf superstar increasing in its own right. Feimster joins Sam, a new caddy who could simply bring a little fortune to Lonnie so necessary.
Parnell will play Anton, a late member of the PGA Board of Directors, and Tarver plays Natalie, the devoted Lance influencer. Hornsby completes the cast as Radford, a rich southern now romantically involved with Stacy.
Wilson will bring even more tension to green as a professional golfist who has beat Lonnie not once, but twice in the championship. His presence creates a rivalry that promises a lot of comedy and perhaps even a little heart.
Fans of Ferrell and Wilson will remember that this is not the first time he shares the screen. Their comic chemistry has been tested and demonstrated in several films including Old school (2003), Wake up, Ron Burgundy: The Lost Movie (2004), Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy (2004), The story of Wendell Baker (2005), Blade di Gloria (2007) e Anchorma 2: the legend continues (2013).
Behind the scenes, Ferrell is producing executive alongside Jessica Elbaum AND Alix Taylor FO Gloria Sanchez Productions. The power team of Rian Johnson, RAM BergmanAND Nena Rodrigue They are also on board as executive producers through T-Street.
Netflix has not yet revealed a release date, but with Ferrell and Wilson together, fans can expect many hilarious moments and a new tour in the world of professional golf.
