One of the most loved characters of Star Wars Galaxy could go to the big screen for his spin -Off, if the original Ahsoka Tano has his way.
Ashley Ecksteinwho was Ahsoka’s voice from his debut Star Wars: The Clone Wars In 2008, he claims to dream of leading an animation film focused on the disadvantaged by fans.
While the Star Wars universe continues to expand with projects such as Jon FavreauIt is coming The Mandalorian and the GoguEckstein believes that there is still very potential not exploited for the story of Ahsoka. Speaking with the comic, he shared his vision and his hope that fans can help him happen:
“You know, personally, I would like Ahsoka more in animation. And I think there are many more stories to tell … and you know what? I intend to give you something because this is a dream of mine.
“I speak a lot about manifesting your dreams. I would like one day to get an animated film by Ahsoka. I would like … it’s something I dream often, in reality, and I am a believer, and you have to take off your dreams from your head and throw them out in the universe.
“So do you know what? I will throw it out in the universe. At some point I would like to have an animated film by Ahsoka.”
While Lucasfilm has not yet announced anything, Eckstein is convinced that Fandom’s power can create such a project. He reminded fans that their voices contributed to modeling the live-action debut of Ahsoka when Rosario Dawson It was chosen.
“You know, Dave Filoni came out and admitted that he launched Rosario Dawson because of the cast of the fans. The fans started asking her as a sign, and that’s the one who brought Rosario to his attention.”
Eckstein also stressed that there is still a great gap in the history of Ahsoka between The clone wars and live-action Ahsoka Series, leaving a lot of space for new animated adventures.
“There have remained so many stories to tell. There is still a big gap between clone Wars and where we collect the Ahsoka series.
“There is much more for me personally that I would like to do with Ahsoka. I think there is much more room for Ahsoka in animation. And therefore if there is something you want to see, say.”
For now, fans can appreciate Eckstein’s emotional return to the role in LEGO STAR WARS: Reconstruct the galaxy – pieces of the pastNow in streaming on Disney+. The project marks his first time to express Ahsoka since then Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi In 2022, and returning to the character meant a lot for her.
“I definitely cried, because Dave Filoni promised me that I would always have been Ahsoka’s voice in animation, but I don’t know if it will come back.
“Just because I have this promise does not mean that we will listen to it again. I sit and wait until I receive the call, and so when I received the call, they were definitely tears of joy.”
In addition, Eckstein said to work on the LEGO project looked like a perfect mixture of two passions.
“I am also a huge LEGO fan. So to crush two of my great loves, Lego and Star Wars, it was really nice.”
Regardless of the fact that Ecckstein has his animated film Ahsoka or not, it is clear that he did not end the character soon. With the fans who gather behind her and so many not told stories that remained explored, it is not too far -fetched to imagine Ahsoka in the center of the scene on the big screen.
