Winner of the Matthew Rhys (Americans, Perry Mason) joined the cast of the Apple TV Legal Drama+ Alleged innocentAnd he is ready to recite in front Rachel Brosnahan (The wonderful Mrs. Maisel, Superman) AND Jack Reynor (Midsomar, The perfect couple) in the next second season.
The second episode is inspired by Dissection of a murderJo Murray’s legal thriller novel. It focuses on an ambitious defense lawyer (Brosnahan) who takes on a high -profile case. RHYS plays her husband, the prosecutor on the case; Reynor plays his client, the accused.
Guided by Jake Gyllenhaal, season 1 was inspired by the thriller in Scott Turow court with the same name. He tells the story of a horrible murder that overturns the Chicago lawyer office when one of his own is suspected of crime. The book was published in 1987 and was transformed into a 1990 feature film with Harrison Ford as Rusty Sabich, the same role assumed Gyllenhaal.
Alleged innocent It is the second RHYS project with Apple TV+, following a leading role in the next series of 10 episodes Widow’s Bayby the creator Katie Dippold. Executive Rhys also produces the project on a mysteriously cursed island of New England and its superstitious citizens, led by a mayor (Rhys) who refuses to believe their warnings. Subsequently it will be seen in the Netflix Limited series The beast in meplayed by Claire Danes, who descends on November 13, and expresses a character in InvincibleThe fourth season, previewed in 2026.
