DC Studios dropped an image behind the scenes from the long -awaited Lantern series, giving fans their first real look to the world of green lanterns James Gunn AND Peter Safran’S DC Universe.

The series is preparing to be a gritty mixture of crime drama and narration of cosmic superheroes, with intergalactic officers that reveal a mystery of murder in the American heart.

The spotlight of the image just emerged Aaron Pierre Like John Stewart e Kelly MacDonald Like Sheriff Kerry. Pierre enters the role of the recruit of the green lantern, while Macdonald makes its debut as a sheriff of the small town.

The fixed images of production, captured by monitor during filming, reveal the characters in a dark and industrial space that suggests a moody and rooted aesthetic.

MacDonald officially joined the cast in October 2024. Sheriff Kerry is described as “a woman without frills deeply dedicated to her family and her close -knit city”, a character whose strength comes from a difficult past. Within the story, it crosses the paths with Hal Jordan, played by Kyle ChandlerAnd it also acts as a love interest.

Director James Hawes Offered a vision of the tone of the series during an interview previously, saying: “Chris Mundy and Damon Lindelof, you know they did things like Ozark, True Detective and the script has such wit. So much character and is like a policeman’s film by Buddy and I talked about it in a kind of real detective, Fargo, no country for the old naturalists.

Showrunner Chris mundy He promised that the lanterns would remain faithful to his comics roots as they raised the narrative. “The lanterns will not sacrifice the magic of the material of origin.”

Mundy added that the goal was “to offer a drama in layers – rooted in the shaded narrative and in the rich construction of the world – which balances tension and mystery with honest and authentic emotions”.

The creative team behind the show includes Damon Lindelof, Tom KingAnd Hawes driving the ship. The support cast includes Garrett Dillahunt Like William Macon, Ulrich Thomsen as a sinestro, e Paul Ben-Victor Like Antaan.
