The first look at the next third season of Jujutsu Kaisen He has finally fallen, and while making fun of a lot of action and drama of the character, he also offers some difficult news for Gojo Satuu fans.
Season 2 adapted the accident of Shibuya, which left the history in ruins after a devastating event after the other. The arch saw the tragic death of Kento Nanami at the hands of Mahito, and even before then, Gojo himself was sealed in the reign of prison.
Without the strongest sorcerer who holds the line, the bad guys gained over, unleashing the chaos that he left the fans shaken and anxious to see what will happen later.
Gojo is not part of the story, at least not yet. The teaser highlights many key characters who enter the spotlight, but Gojo is not one of these.
The only indirect reference to him comes through the dialogue of Yuta Okkotsu, which suggests the current priorities of the sorcerers, but does not even mention Gojo’s position. One thing I noticed in the trailer is that none of the trailer characters seems to be worried about saving him.
Attention shifts to Yuji Itadori and his path after the destruction of Shibuya. Yuta also plays a central role, since it is still bound by her vote to kill Yuji, a mission that creates a serious conflict between the two. This lays the foundations for part 1 of season 3, which should broadcast with 12 episodes during winter 2026.
With Gojo put aside, it seems that Yuki Tsukumo can take on a leadership role while Yuji and Yuta overlook. Once their conflict takes place, part 1 could lead directly to a wider plan to finally free Gojo, creating the second half of the season.
While Gojo’s absence may seem like a loss for fans, he opens the doors to shine other characters. Yuji and Yuta, often seen as double protagonists in the manga, now have the opportunity to go completely in the spotlight. Their growth and struggles could shape some of the most exciting narrative that Jujutsu Kaisen has still delivered.
