Beautiful trailer for the adaptation of the films of the summer book with Glenn Close

A beautiful trailer was published for the adaptation of the film by The summer bookinterpreted Glenn Close, Anders Danielsen lie, Emily MatthewsAND Ingvar Sigurdsson. The film is directed by Charlie McDowell (What I love, The discovery, Tales from the cycle, Shipments from elsewhere) by a script written by Robert Jones. The story is based on the homonymous book written by Tove Jansson.

The synopsis recites: “Sophia (Emily Matthews) of 9 years spent the summers in the seasonal house of her family on a quiet island in the Gulf of Finland, but this will be the first summer without her mother.

“His father (Anders Danielsen Lie) remains numb from pain, while his grandmother (Glenn Close) guide on a dizzying and tortuous path towards the young adulthood.

“With a sense of infinite possibility and tender consideration for the wonders of the natural world, Sophia and her grandmother explore the ground, celebrate half a common and test the limits of faith in the face of the many storms of life”.

It looks like a wonderfully made film with a sincere story. It was presented for the first time at the 2024 London Film Festival at enthusiastic reviews – with the first exhibition that said “it sounds like a Miyazaki film”, which sounds rather surprising.
