Alien: earth He has already made some interesting moves for the alien franchise, taking the terrifying Xenomorph universe in a direction that he never really explored before … on earth. With Noah Hawley At the helm, this FX series is not just giving fans new horrors and new science fiction concepts, he is also answering some of the deepest questions that fans have hypothesized for decades.
One of the great revelations has just fallen into episode 4, “observation”, and while it might seem a small detail, provides one of the most sought after answers in the alien universe, the complete list of the five megacorporations that govern the earth.
The show made fun of this information at the beginning, in the premiere, during a casual breakfast scene on the Maginot Uscss. An older engineer tried to explain the structure to the power of the Earth to a younger one, mentioning the powerful companies that make up the government council of the planet.
But only three names were mentioned before we were swept in the introduction of Samuel Blekin in the role of Boy Kavalier, the youngest trillionaire in the world. It was a thin nod that had buckets in franchise that buzzed instantly.
Now, episode 4 offers the complete image. While hybrid children, including Wendy, explore the advantages of their synthetic bodies, begin to download knowledge and learn the history of the earth. This leads them to Wendy’s brother, Alex LawtherJoe Hermit, who gives them the truth:
“The old system of democratic governments has failed and the five companies intensified to fill the void and maintain the order. To balance power they have formed advice and” now they work together to manage things “.”
Here is the complete list of megacorporations now officially part of Alien Canon:
Weyland-Yuthani-The notorious power that we all know, and the main antagonist behind almost any Xenomorph catastrophe in movies.
Prodigy – Central to Alien: Earth, this company specializes in synthetic androids. They broke the code on the transfer of human consciousness to Synth bodies, the technology that starts the events of the series.
Dynamic – mentioned in episode 1, but still an otherwise mystery.
ThresHold – Mint’s new name, no detail.
Lynch – Another stranger, at least for now.
It is clear from the explanation of Hermit that the harmony between these five companies is only in terms of surface. Behind the scenes, there is tension. The beer conflict between Yutani and Boy Kavalier on alien specimens seems to establish a larger yield. As the hermit suggests, a meeting of the Council could loom in which “the five” will have to develop things.
Even with this great revelation, not all companies should make great appearances in Alien: earth At least not this season. For now, Weyland-Yutani is on the sidelines, which suggests that dynamics, Threshold and Lynch could be reserved for future plots in the coming seasons or other alien projects.
