Fairyland’s trailer tells a wonderfully made story of love, loss and identity with Scoot McNairy and Emilia Jones

The first trailer for the Sofia Coppola-Product Fairyland It has been released and offers an emotional punch wrapped in a lively story of maturity.

Based on Alysia AbbottMemoir, the film is written and directed by Andrew Durham And follows the evolution relationship of a girl with his father among the colorful but turbulent cultural waves of the 1970s and 80s in San Francisco.

Emilia Jones stars like Arysia, with Scoot McNairy Like his father, a gay man who sails in life, love and paternity through eras of artistic freedom and the devastating shadow of the AIDS crisis.

The cast also includes Cody Fern, Maria Bakalova, Bella Murphy, Geena Davis, Adam Lambertand newcomer Nesssa Dougherty.

The trailer shows an extraordinary mixture of heat, crack and resilience while she dives into the themes of self-trading, a chosen family and fragility of the time.

McNairy’s performance in particular seems powerful and the tone of the film is rooted in authenticity. It seems one of the most emotionally resonant indie films of the year.

The film will be released in the cinemas on October 10th.
