James Gunn has just dropped a great revelation Pacifier Season 2 and will shake DCU in some fun and wild ways. In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Gunn confirmed that the new season will immerse itself in the concept of “pocket universities”, an idea introduced for the first time in its imminent Superman Movies.
When asked about pocket universes, Gunn replied:
“Everything [second] Peacemaker’s season revolves around this. Yes, absolutely it is. You will see in peace [season 2]Also … it is only the version of Lex is much more thin than that of Peacemaker. The one in Peacemaker works better. What Peacemaker’s entire season revolves around is that. “
This means that the show will play around with alternative realities, but Gunn wants the fans to know that this is not a typical multiverse mashup like Spider-Man: No Way Home. He described his approach as something more intimate:
“I think of Peacemaker as more than one story of high concept on another world. It is more similar to that of Philip Roth [1996 novel] The counter-forest of how much it is not for the third Spider-Man film … I love that film, but it is not about.
“It is not Deadpool and Wolverine. It is truly a very simple and simple story about [Chris Smith’s] relationship with this other world. “
While Gunn is keeping under the details of the DCU of great image, he recently made fun of the fact that there is a central narrative thread that connects these projects, something that nobody has yet guessed.
“That’s not what someone thinks. It is not what anyone who guesses. But I think that if people look at the next season of Peacemaker, they will see where many of these things are and have a little more than a sense of perhaps what can happen.”
The first trailer has already made fun of the existence of another reality and has even mentioned an alternative version of Peacemaker, possibly binding to the old DCEU. A new trailer, which currently plays exclusively in cinemas, further pushes that idea, suggesting that Peacemaker and his team will skip through realities, perhaps even replacing their counterparts in the temporal sequence of the DCU.
