Netflix has just released a fast but electric teaser for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners IIofficially confirming that the sequel series is now in production. While the movie is short, he makes fun of the return characters, a new romantic thread and that chaos of the night city.
The next episode is not a direct continuation but an autonomous 10 -episode story set in the Cyberpunk 2077 universe.
The logline sets the tone: “Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 presents a new autonomous story to 10 episodes from the world of Cyberpunk 2077– A chronicle rough of redemption and revenge. In a city that thrives in the spotlight of violence, it remains a question: when the world is blinded by the show, what extremes do you have to go to make sure that your story is important? “
The sequel marks the debut of the direction of Kai Ikarashiwho worked on the original Edgerunners AND Ssss.gridmanwith Ichigo Kanno Returning as a designer of main characters.
Masahiko Otsuka AND Bartosz Sztybor He also returns, with Sztybor who pulls triple as a showrunner, writer and producer. The show is again created in collaboration with the CD Projekt Red and Studio Trigger, and although no preview date has been announced, at the beginning of 2026 it seems likely.
