Netflix has officially given the green light to its long -awaited Assassin’s Creed Live-Action series. The show will be led by creators appointed to Emmy Roberto Patino (Westworld, DMZ, Sons of Anarchy) AND David Wiener (Halo, Homecoming, The Killing), which will act as a showrunner and executive producers.
The series promises to remain faithful to the roots of the franchise as they explore deeper narratives and guided by the character. According to Netflix, the adaptation is “a high number of octanies focused on the secret war between two dark factions: one is set to determine the future of humanity through control and manipulation, the other fight to preserve free will”.
Fans can expect stories that embrace fundamental historical moments while the eternal battle between Assassins and Templars take place.

Patino and Wiener shared their vision for the show in a joint declaration:

“Under the scope, the show, the parkour and chills is a basis for the most essential type of human history – on people looking for a purpose, struggling with issues of identity, destiny and faith.
“These are power, violence, sex, greed and revenge. But more than anything else, this is a show on the value of human connection, through cultures, over time. And it is what we lose as a species, when those connections are stopped.
“We have an extraordinary team behind us with the people of Ubisoft and our Netflix champions, and we are committed to creating something undeniable for fans all over the planet.”
Peter Friedlander, The vice -president of the Netflix scripted series highlighted to what extent this project came since it was announced for the first time:
“When we announced our partnership for the first time with Ubisoft in 2020, we marked with an ambitious goal to bring the rich and expansive world of Assassin’s Creed to life.
“Led by the skilled hands of Roberto Patino and David Wiener, the team carefully made an epic adventure that both honors the legacy of the Assassin’s Creed franchise and invites the fans and new arrivals in the same way to experience the thrill of the brotherhood as ever.”
The live-action series marks the first project to emerge from the 2020 partnership of Netflix and Ubisoft to develop content based on the popular game franchise globally. Next to Patino and Wiener, the executive production team includes Gerard Guillemot, Margaret Boykin, Austin dill For Ubisoft Film & Television, e Matt O’toole.
