A decade has passed since then Peter Jackson wrapped The Hobbit Trilogy, and while things have been relatively silent on the cinema front for him, the Oscar winner director wants fans to know that he has not slowed down. In fact, it is more crowded than you might think.
“I’m certainly not retired,” Jackson said to Screen Rant in a recent interview. “We are currently working on three different scripts. At the moment I’m writing three different scripts.”
It’s nice to know that the director he has delivered The Lord of the Rings AND The Hobbit Trilogies retired and while Jackson did not reveal what these projects are, there are some clues about what he did.
We already know that Jackson is producing Gollum huntingnext Lord of the Rings film that Andy Serkis It will be destined to direct next year.
“We are producing and we are writing Gollum huntingthat Andy Serkis will direct next year. I liked to work on documentaries, who show that I was aged or not, and of course the [The Beatles: Get Back] project. I liked to do various things with the Beatles, which is fantastic, and it will probably continue. “
Jackson’s acclaimed documents The Beatles: Go back He gave fans an intimate look at the creation of the Album Let It Be, and it seems that his documentary work could continue alongside his narrative projects.
Jackson is also fascinated by the science of the real world, in particular detention. He is working with colossal biosciences, a company that tries to report extinct species. Jackson could not hide his excitement for a particular creature:
“For me, de-extinction of the Moa would be equally exciting, if no longer exciting, of any film I could make,” said Jackson. “I made many films, but seeing the giant reported by Moa would be a level of excitement that I think he would have replaced anything at this moment.”
While Jackson keeps himself busy, I would like to see him return to the director’s chair and direct an adequate film again. I have always loved his style of narration and cinema! It would be particularly nice to see him return to horror!
With regard to Gollum huntingIt is destined to hit cinemas on December 17, 2027 and will explore parts of the Gollum life that have never been shown on the screen.
“We really want to explore his background and deepen those parts of his journey, we didn’t have time to cover in previous films. It is too early to know who will cross his path, but just say that we will take our command from Professor Tolkien.”
But although Jackson may not be eliminated the successes as before, it is far from modeling the stories, both on the screen and in the real world.
