Troma triggers the trailer for mr. Melvin – The sequel to original toxic Avenger that we should have obtained

Troma Entertainment is doing what only Troma can do, resurrecting the cinematographic chaos from the radioactive ashes of the past. They just dropped a trailer for Mr. Melvin, a newly reconstructed cut that merges The toxic avenger Part II AND Part III In the single epic Gonzo of two hours it was originally designed to be.

If you are a longtime troma fan, you probably already know that parts II and III should not have been separate films. In the late 1980s, Lloyd Kaufman AND Michael Herz He shot a huge sequel intended to continue the journey of Melvin Junko as a mutant hero that brandishes Tromaville’s Mop. But thanks to a swollen runtime and the unreachate sensitivity of the Amo, the film was cut in two.

Now, 36 years later, that original vision is finally coming to life with Mr. Melvin. Kaufman said bloody disgusting:

“I have always dreamed of reconstructing part II and III Toxici in the single epic that we initially meant before the Mpaa cut it like a week’s sashimi. I am extremely happy that it is finally happening before I collapse, and I even gave myself a reason not to make me jump my hands.

The restoration/resurrection was guided by Andrew L. Miller (Kaufman assistant) e Adam Peltier (The power of positive murder), who discovered the original screenplay and scrupulously sewed filmed by both films in a cohesive set.

Taxie actor Ron Fazio Also returned to record a new off -field voice for the project, bringing a fresh life to the changed vigilante. Miller said:

“Honestly, it seems fantastic. History has much more sense, and in my opinion it is a much better film than the other two individually. This year we will preview Mr. Melvin in Troma-Thon at Mahoning Drive-in … how it should be!”

Pietier sees Mr. Melvin as something more than a simple change, is a refiguration of what Troma has always done.

“This is not a restoration. It is a resurrection. We are taking parts II and III and making them complete – a film, a story, told the way it was originally destined. After this, you will not want to watch them in any other way.”

While the film will still be full of all the Gonzo Gore and anti-corporate satire that you would expect from Troma, something more under the surface sludge is happening.

“These are a lot of toxie that try to understand its place in the world once there is no more crime to fight what it is Lloyd to do what to do after creating a surprise cult.

“Both – Toxie and Lloyd – am I in front of the same question: do I come to the corporate overlord or do I continue to fight the good battle?”

Mr. Melvin It will be previewed from 18 to 19 July at the Troma-Th 2025 at the Mahoning Drive-In Theater in Lehighton, Pennsylvania, because obviously it would do so. This is Trome. This is cinema, changed and reborn.
