James Gunn direct three Guardians of the galaxy film and SuicideBut Gunn draws a clear line between what has come previously and what is doing now as Co-Capo of DC Studios and Director of Next Superman Movies.
Gunn says it Superman It is his first real superhero film, which he explains in an interview with Gamesradar+:
“In a sense, however, it is strange, because you say you made superhero films with Marvel, but I really didn’t. The guardians were space adventurers. They weren’t really superheroes.
“They had no secret identity, masks or customs, or they had superpowers, but they were not really superpowers. They were only the powers where they were.”
It makes a good point as the guardians were admitted cosmic, not exactly the saviors who wear Spandex in the traditional sense. Also Suicide It was built around a pile of criminals with sketched moral knots. Gunn adds:
“So I think that, really, in many ways, this is my first superhero film, because the Suicide Squad was also supercads. So this brought a lot of challenges in itself. Because the superheroes, everything I do comes from a place of” well, what happens if it were real? ”
“Do you know, if I started telling the story of Rocket Raccoon,” What if the Raccoon rocket were real? How would it be existing? Where would it come from? “And with this, what happens if Superman was real? So he really came from that place.”
I can understand why Gunn believes in it Superman It is his first superhero film and so far the first reactions have been mostly positive and I am excited to see him alone.
