If you wanted the emotional punch and existential laughter Bojack Horseman delivered, creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg He has returned with a brand new animated series that seems to collect where your soul has stopped.
Netflix has just dropped the first teaser for To make it shortAn animated 10 -episode comedy on a dysfunctional family called Schwoopers.
To make it short It is “an animated comedy of Bojack Horseman’s creator on a family over time,” explains Netflix. “By jumping over the years, we follow the Schwooper brothers from childhood to adulthood and return, telling their triumphs, disappointments, joys and compromises.”
The show is invoiced as “a comedy for anyone who has ever loved or hated their family”. So in practice, all of us.
In the classic Bob-Waksberg fashion, the teaser trailer presents brothers who fight on the rear seat and uses it to explore the passage of time, memory and how some things, in particular family dynamics, never really change.
It opens with the young children of Schwooper who fight like only the brothers can, before opening quickly towards their adult versions … still fighting in the same absurd way. That trick that blows time is the entire deal of the series.
